EMILIO BIANCHIC (1990, Uruguay) Trabaja en los límites de la naturaleza, la cultura y la identidad, jugando con sus imposibilidades y ridiculeces en forma de videos y performances de pequeña escala. Su práctica trata de hackear comportamientos y resultados esperados, usando la confusión, la torpeza y el humor como una fuerza queer que transforma todas sus acciones. Recibió el Premio Nacional de Artes Visuales de Uruguay en 2018. Actualmente reside en CDMX.
EMILIO BIANCHIC (1990, Uruguay) works on the limits of nature, culture and identity, playing with their impossibilities and ridiculousness in the form of small-scale videos and performances. His practice tries to hack standardized behaviors and expected results, using confusion, awkwardness and humor as a force for queering all actions. Recipient of the Premio Nacional de Artes Visuales (National Art Prize) of Uruguay in 2018. He currently resides in CDMX.
